Ariana + Justin // Denver Art Museum
If you wanted to read another blog about another friend from TJ who got married to a wonderful, amazing and beautiful woman... you're in luck! Justin and Ariana got married last Saturday at the Denver Art Museum and it couldn't have been a more perfect day.
Justin is the type of guy that you want on your team. Which is actually how I knew him, I played football with him at TJ and he was a natural born leader from the start. He made his teammates around him better and that has translated to his adult life. You can tell all of his friends are truly grateful for his friendship. So how do you make a natural born leader better? You have him fall in love with a strong willed, kind and beautiful woman to push him to be great. Ariana is that woman for Justin. I've only known Ariana through the wedding process but I knew from the get go that she is an amazing person. She is extremely kind yet wouldn't hesitate to tell you her opinion... I like that in a person. I think Justin fell in love with a very special person and I would take a guess and say that he would agree with me.
The day started at The Art Hotel where both Justin and Ariana were getting ready and when everyone was looking top notch we headed to the RiNo District for the first look. I've said it time and time again... first looks are amazing. Every time I see a groom look at his wife for the first time it gives me flashbacks of when I saw my beautiful wife Alysen on our wedding day. The way Justin looked at Ariana was no different. We shot among the beautiful art work in RiNo and headed to Civic Center Park to meet up with the rest of the wedding party. This group, for the most part, were no strangers to me. I went to high school with more than half of them so the energy was light hearted and fun!
I had never shot in the Denver Art Museum. Shooting in new places is a photographers dream and being inspired by such great architecture and artwork was definitely not an issue. The ceremony was beautiful, the toasts were great and the food and drink were plentiful. I have to say... this dance party was one of the best I've ever seen! I knew the TJ would get down but the Flores side put them all to shame. Salsa dancing and amazing Latin moves were on display and I was certainly impressed!
All in all, it was one of my favorite weddings of the year and I'm so lucky to have been there to capture Justin and Ariana's day!
