Aubrey + James // The Pines at Genesee
I met Aubrey a few years ago when we were both working for the same photography studio and an instant friendship began. She is such a kind person and I have always enjoyed the positive energy that she carries everywhere she goes. When I met James, we hit it off immediately and not only do I call him a friend but he is also a teammate on my baseball team. James is a great guy, a great friend but most of all he loves Aubrey with all of his heart and it shows. I feel like sparks should be flying every time they simply look at each other.
During the toasts numerous people mentioned how they all knew Aubrey and James will live a long and beautiful life together. I hear this at just about every wedding I shoot but this time I know it to be true. They love each other so deeply that it's obvious to anyone who gets near them and the world is a better place because they found each other.
The day started off in Evergreen early Sunday morning as everyone got ready and they literally couldn't have had a better fall weather day. The crisp fall mountain air set the stage for a beautiful wedding day. After everyone was ready to go we headed up to the top of Genesee Mountain for the first look. If you were wondering if their first look was awesome... it was. I mention how amazing a first look is in every blog I write because well, they're just awesome. The way James looked at Aubrey made it feel like their moment stood still!
After the first look and some wedding party photos, it was time for the ceremony. As the sunlight came through the pine trees, the setting for Aubrey and James' perfect ceremony was in place. It went off without a hitch (other than the two of them getting hitched #dadjoke) and then the party started! Well first everyone ate some killer brunch... but then the party started! After the reception was over we headed to the same spot as their engagement session, south of Idaho Springs. The fall colors were just what Aubrey and James had in mind to cap off a perfect day. We shot around in the beautiful aspens and then finished with the sweet Corvette the Dinges' had for the day!
I'm so stoked on the opportunity to capture this day for them and can't wait to see where they go together in their lives. Cheers to the next adventure!
