Erin + Jon Wedding
When I first started my career in photography, I was pretty young. Most of my network of friends weren't in the married or family stages yet. Well they are now. If you notice a lot of my recent blogs, most of them have been from people I went to High School with. Well, add Jon and Erin to that list. Jon and I even go back to middle school! The two of them were high school sweet hearts and if you were ever around them for more than an instance, you'd realize that they compliment each other perfectly.
During their vows, Jon spoke about his indecisiveness. He even cracked a joke about how he even battles his indecisiveness with his choice of breakfast. "Hope these Pop Tarts pay off" he said. He went on giving more examples of that same issue but then went on to say how Erin was the exception to that. He said he knew for a very long time that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Erin. I don't doubt that for one second. I'm at a lot of weddings, and granted I have an emotional connection to this one in particular, but I have never heard more beautiful words spoken than Jon's vows to Erin. I can't speak for everyone at the wedding but even I was pretty choked up and wiped away a tear or two.
On her wedding day Erin was beautiful, kind, lighthearted and had a smile that could light up a room. Most would argue that it did. I couldn't have been happier to capture their day with all of their loved ones surrounding them. Even though mother nature decided to rain a good portion of their day, it was one of the most beautiful days I've been a part of in a long time.
I'm so honored to be their wedding photographer but even more so to call them friends. Congratulations Jon and Erin!
