Tiffany + Andy // The Lodge at Breckenridge
Tiffany and Andy are just fun people. I like fun people. We've become friends throughout this process but for whatever reason it kind of felt like we were old friends from the get go. Before I even did their engagement session, we had gone to a Nuggets game together, we go to the same gym, we even lived in the same neighborhood until they recently moved. We go way back, or at least it felt like it.
So, when their wedding day arrived, I couldn't wait to capture my two friend's wedding day. Their wedding was in the amazing Breckenridge and the weather was perfect. While everyone in Denver was sweating profusely on a hot summer day, we were enjoying the cool mountain breeze on a perfect 70-75 degree sunny day. We started out the day taking the usual getting ready photos and the ladies in the room were awesome to be around. I busted out and sang my favorite Biggy song and we were well on our way to having an awesome day. Tiffany was her beautiful self and looked even more stunning once she go into her dress. It is always a moment of "things just got real" when the dress goes on and this was no different. The dress was on and it was time for the first look.
I took Andy in my car up to the top of Boreas Pass for the first look while Tiffany followed in another car. It truly is stunning up there. The open meadows, the vast amount of aspen trees, it was a perfect place to start out our portraits of the two soon to be newlyweds. The first look was awesome. Again. We got killer photos of some beautiful people. Again. Taking pictures of people on their wedding day is pretty awesome. It's like they could never be more in love than right at that moment. Plus they are both crazy beautiful people , so they actually made my job pretty easy.
We headed back down for the ceremony which was a beautiful scene on the back deck of the venue with amazing views of the Breck. There were a few laughs and tears during the ceremony and Tiffany and Andy took their first steps towards their new lives together as husband and wife.
The reception was awesome, with great food, plenty of drinks, an amazing view and even better company with the people in attendance. It was an honor to capture such a beautiful day for my two friends and I can't wait to see where this life takes the two of them! Cheers!
